Small Actions, Big Impact: Helping Our Community Rebuild
“We ripped out damaged carpets and we repaired siding, removing damage and wet and molded debris caused by the flooding,” said Leo. “We were helping areas and families of low income who were hit hardest by the flooding, that can’t afford or don’t have the time or resources to help themselves, and need and rely on community members to help them like us.”
These families simply don’t have the spare money, time, or resources to rebuild on their own. They really depend on the community to get back on their feet.
“This experience really reiterates that absolutely anyone can help make a difference, no matter how old you are or what skills you have,” Leo Said.
Leo hopes to inspire other community members to step up and help neighbors in need.
Community Leaders At Work
On Saturday August 22nd, Helping Ninjas’ Founder Leo volunteered to help flood victims alongside community leaders and community members and other youth to re-build flood damaged homes with his juridic senator, Senator JD Ford in Muncie, Indiana.
Indiana is undergoing the aftertaste of the floods, and leaders and community members and organizations are stepping up to help.
