Food Rescue Local organization in Carmel tackles the challenge of food waste! Food Rescue has connected over 200 caring agencies with over 200 restaurants, and 500 schools resulting in over a million meals being rescued annually. Carmel Green Initiative is a coalition of citizens and community groups who promote and support the City of Carmel’s commitment to reducing our impact on the environment and meeting the climate challenge. Goals include reducing energy waste, promoting clean, renewable, and smart energy solutions, and educating the public.

Youth Power Indiana A youth-driven climate stewardship and civic leadership program. Our Children’s Trust, an Oregon-based organization empowering youth to get involved in climate leadership. Fifteen states are now actively engaged in youth leadership, regarding the reduction of fossil fuel emissions and the growth of clean, renewable energy. Also, partners with iMatter, a national organization dedicated to youth-led Climate Recovery on a city-by-city basis.
